We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at BizSolutions 360. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the quantity surveying process, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that costs are accurately estimated and controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
2. Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and value for money.
3. Monitor project budgets and expenses, identifying and addressing any cost overruns or discrepancies.
4. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with contractual requirements.
5. Prepare and maintain detailed cost reports, including forecasts and variations.
6. Collaborate with the project management team to develop cost-effective solutions and value engineering options.
7. Review and analyze contract documents to identify potential risks and opportunities.
8. Assist in the preparation of contract documents, including bills of quantities and payment schedules.
9. Provide advice and guidance on contractual matters, including claims and disputes.
10. Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
4. Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
5. Professional certification (e.g., MRICS) is a plus.
6. Knowledge of construction contracts and regulations.

– Has at least 5 years of project management experience in the AEC industry, with a solid background in government contracting.
– Demonstrates deep financial management expertise, adept at budgeting, ensuring profitability, and maintaining compliance.
– Understands AEC market dynamics and federal procurement processes and has a strong professional network.
– Exhibits proven leadership skills in managing diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
