GATE 225953 Rehabilitate & Replace Water Well No. 4

The project involved enhancing the water well system to comply with NJDEP regulations and meet demand requirements. This included adding a new well with a multi-stage vertical turbine pump, discharge piping, blow-off valve, and meter. Existing wells #3 and #4 were abandoned according to regulations. A redundant well (#6) was drilled near existing well #5A. Additionally, new electrical infrastructure, including an electrical panel, transfer switch, and service disconnect, was installed. Buried ductile iron piping connected the well to the water treatment plant, along with improvements to pump controls and a SCADA system. An emergency generator, fuel tank, and fenced area for security were also implemented. Lastly, the area of abandoned well #4 was restored to its previous condition.
