Scope of Service Request Description:
- Work under direction of Project Manager to produce design and construction documents for campus renovation projects to maintain, repair or alter existing electrical systems.
- As project dictates may assume lead role if project has dominant electrical effort requirement which includes customer interface, project documentation, coordination and budget.
- Prepare complete bid documents with emphasis on interdisciplinary coordination
Bachelor’s degree required. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
Minimum Qualifications (includes min. Education, Experience, Knowledge/Skills & Abilities)
Minimum of 5 years within the design of lighting and electrical systems environment including systems with voltage i.e.. 120/208 Volt and 277/480 Volt;
Desire experience with renovation projects within educational and institutional environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Incumbent must possess proficiency in using AutoCAD; an understanding and experience to deliver clear and timely documents;
Ability to produce complete bid documents with emphasis on interdisciplinary coordination ;
Knowledge of and current experience with building electrical systems, applicable codes including NEC and current best practices in the installation of electrical systems;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the use of a computer for email, reports; and automated project management systems and MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
